Your Mobile Voice & Data Needs |
|
|
The fact-finding meeting
Before we can give you proper advice, we need to
gather as much information as possible about your business and exactly
what you are hoping to achieve with your mobile communications set
up.
This will usually involve a short face to face meeting
with you, which can be at your own office if that is more convenient
for you. You can expect questions such as:
What is the nature of your business?
How does your business currently use mobile technology?
What benefits do mobile communications currently give your
business?
What would you like to be able to achieve in the future?
Is the company in a growth phase? |
 |
 |
|
We'll look into your potential
use of data communications and new technologies. Generally, the
"data" we are talking about is the sort of information
you would find on a laptop or a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)
including Microsoft Office applications, diary and email.
With this information we will be able to look
at your current and future needs for mobile communications. If you
have an existing |
| agreement, we will need to
see a copy of the bill to assess your current usage and whether
we can really offer you a better deal.
After the initial meeting, we will expect to have
on going communications with you to fully understand all your requirements
in order to make a detailed proposal. This may be to determine more
specific requirements such as your need to:
keep existing phone numbers.
upgrade equipment or not.
transfer address book contents to new handsets. |
|
Analysing
your calls
If you are an existing mobile phone user, we
will use one of your existing bills to analyse the calls made over
a monthly period. The purpose of this is to understand exactly how
your phones are being used and to make recommendations for the most
appropriate tariffs and calculate potential savings based on your
actual usage.
We'll take a snapshot of random days and analyse
every one of the calls made. |

|
We
will look at the overall pattern, when and where your calls are
made to and from (landlines / international / mobiles), and
at what time of the day (peak or off-peak).
That will enable us to calculate the average cost
of your calls which we will then test against the totals on your
bill. If there is a discrepancy of more than 10% we will undertake
a full analysis, looking at every single call to ensure that the
advice you get is totally accurate.
A full analysis can take anything from 3 hours to
3 days. It will, of course, depend on the number of phones you operate,
how often and how and where they are used. When you consider that
you might use your phones to call from anywhere in the world - to
anywhere in the world, to landlines and other mobiles, you'll soon
realise just what a complex task this can be! You will receive a
detailed breakdown, showing how all your handsets are being used.
In addition you'll receive a projected saving, based on this usage,
if you sign up to our suggested tariff. |

Selecting your
handset
There are lots of handsets available and we source
products and carry stock, replacements and spare parts for a wide
range of handsets from all major manufacturers. In the main, we supply
Nokia phones because they are easy to use, reliable and have a superb
backup service. We are, however, happy to look at other products if
they appear to meet your applications better than the equivalent Nokia.
We can bring half a dozen models along for you to examine and will
go through each one to discuss the features. Thus, by a process of
elimination, we will end up with one or two which are most suitable
for you. |
| What
about your data requirements?
Data Services available include:
Sending and receiving your emails.
Phones combined with organisers so that you can use this
information, send and receive it on-the-move or from any other location.
You don't need to go back to the office!
Surfing the internet.
First, we will ask you if you use a laptop computer
or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). If you do, it's likely that
you will need information on-the-move, plus the ability to send
data back to your office. We can ensure that if you are away from
your office for a few days, you can still send and receive your
emails, and process your orders. In short, you can carry on working!
We will discuss your requirements in more detail
to ascertain the best solution for you. With a PDA, you need to
connect to your phone by infra-red, Bluetooth or cable. With a laptop,
you don't have to use a phone - you can connect with a data card
which fits into your computer and has it's own aerial.
If you still require more information, we shall be
more than happy to meet with you again. And we will continue to
do so until you are satisfied that the arrangements we propose are
right for you. |
| But how can you be sure that we have the
knowledge to advise you effectively? |
|
First, it's all about experience. You'll benefit
from a professional company that has been operating successfully
since the very beginning of the mobile communications industry.
(And there are very few people who can say that). Veecom has a large
and solid customer base. The number of customers who disconnect
over a 12 month period (our churn rate) is under 9%. The industry
average, however, is almost 30%. Which speaks for itself.
We continually and methodically use numerous
different sources, including training and pre-announcement information
direct from manufacturers and networks. This ensures we keep up
to speed with the latest technologies and future trends in mobile
communications solutions. |
