Sometimes, but thankfully not too often, mobile phones and other devices can become damaged or faulty. Getting these items fixed can be a hassle – that’s where we come in.
We will process the repair and deal with the hassle for you. We will provide a loaner free of charge if you need one, and we will pay for your device to be sent from here to the repair centre, and returned to us after it is repaired.
You can bring it in if you are nearby – we are always delighted to see you and can set up and swap you over to your new loaner if you like. Alternatively you can send your faulty device to us by post or courier along with a note of your Repair Case Number. If neither of these options is convenient, we are happy to arrange a courier pickup/drop-off for you, and we will only charge you what the courier charges us.
Taking advantage of this service is easy if you just follow these 3 simple steps:
1. Call our office on 0131 557 8300 and we will log the details and give you an RCN (Repair Case Number)
2. Please remove the SIM card and keep hold of it. You may also wish to back up any important data which resides on your handset before you send it off for repair or replacement.
3. Attach a note of the RCN to the handset and send it back to ;
- Repairs Dept, Veecom Systems, 4 Broughton Market, Edinburgh, EH3 6NU
We endeavour to ensure a fast turnaround for you and we also keep a stock of loan equipment to keep you up and running if the repair is going to take an extended period, and we will keep you informed as to the progress of the repair.
What’s Covered Free
Faults developed within the first 24 months are usually covered under manufacturer’s warranty / guarantee. We do not charge for processing and organising repairs and faulty equipment on your behalf.
What’s not covered
We know that it is all too easy for your phone to fall out of your pocket, but handsets subjected to water or other liquid damage (which can include, but is not limited to, being submerged in water, condensation, rain, even moisturiser on your hands) are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. We can give you a quote for fixing damaged equipment, but unfortunately if liquids have been involved, we cannot offer any repair or fix.
However, if you have insurance on your mobile device you may be able to claim against any of these types of accidents.
What’s chargeable
If your handset has been user-damaged, which can include (but is not limited to) forced pressure, being dropped from a great height, chewed by an animal, run over by a car, or other such causes of damage, then it is not likely to be covered by warranty. We may well be able to get the handset fixed for you, but the repair will likely be chargeable. In addition, damaged or faulty phones outside of the 24 month warranty period are also chargeable.
After we have received the handset and the repair is chargeable, an estimate will be given to you before we proceed. Remember that you could also claim against your insurance if you have cover for your device.
IMPORTANT NOTICE We advise all of our clients to back up all important information on their handset before it is sent away for a repair
